The men’s and women’s hockey tournament schedules for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris have been released by the International Hockey Federation (FIH). The men’s squad from India, ranked in Group B, will play their opening match against New Zealand on July 27 at 9 PM IST. After this opening encounter, on July 29 at 4:15 PM IST, there will be a match against Argentina.

India’s third match, against Ireland, is scheduled on July 30 at 4.45 PM IST. This match is expected to go more smoothly. August 1 is set aside for a critical matchup with the 2020 Olympic winners, Belgium, while August 2 is India’s last group stage matchup versus Australia.

It’s important to remember that the Indian men’s team started their Olympic campaign with a match against New Zealand, which resulted in a historic bronze medal victory—India’s first in the sport in forty years.

August 4 is when the playoffs will start, and August 8 is when the men’s competition medal matches will take place. Regretfully, the Indian women’s team did not qualify for the most recent FIH Olympic qualifications, hence they will not be attending the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
