However let me tell you that the match updates are available through the points table along with the total number of games played, and the number of wins and losses for each team. At the same time, you have to look at the points table to understand how much net run rate a team has. Moreover, the net run rate is calculated by calculating the difference between the total runs that are included. As IPL 2023 is not started yet so I can’t give you IPL 2023 point table.
Standing Rules
Meanwhile, each team is going to play a total of 14 matches in the IPL 2023 season. Mandatorily, seven of these games will be played at home and seven games will be played away from home. Also, let us tell you that the points table for the entire season follows a simple rule. And the rule is that if a team wins they are awarded 2 points.
On the other hand, if a team keeps losing only without winning then they get zero points for that. Similarly, if any result occurs, the team will be awarded one point. Hope you understand this is how each team earns their points and moves towards the top or bottom of the points table. Also, the total runs scored by a team are divided by the number of overs in their batting and bowling.
At the same time, when the league stage ends, the top four teams in the points table qualify for the playoffs. Not only this but sometimes two or more teams end their games with the same number of points. Then that team is placed higher in the table with a higher NRR. In this way, the points table reflects the performance throughout the IPL.
