Trinbago Knight Riders is a franchise cricket team of the Caribbean Premier League. Although the team was formerly known as Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel. And this team is based in Port of Spain Trinidad and Tobago. However, this team was also established in the inaugural season like other teams i.e. in 2013. You may be surprised to hear that in 2015 Red Chillies Entertainment bought the shares of red steel, the parent company of the Indian Premier League team Kolkata Knight Riders. Anyway, after that 2015 red steel won this tournament. Not only that but after the 2015 season, the team changed its name to Trinbago Knight Riders.

The name sounds a bit like Kolkata Knight Riders because of its association with the parent company of Kolkata Knight Riders.
