Pakistan Women’s T20 League 2023
Pakistan Cricket Board launched this T20 with the support and benefit of their domestic players. A total of five franchises in the competition on the one hand gained PSL recognition in 2015. And then in 2016, it was the first session. Gradually as time progressed PSL made 7 successful seasons.
After this much success of PSL, PCB formed their new T20 league. And this T20 league is created for women only. However the men’s PSL season 8 will be held alongside the women’s this season. As far as sources know, such an initiative has been taken to increase the brand value of Pakistan women’s cricket.
Similarly, four teams are participating in the inaugural season. Not only that each team is selecting a total of 18 players for their team. On the other hand, the PCB is extending some of Pakistan’s women players to central contracts. So it remains to be seen how the first women’s T20 league hosted by Pakistan will continue.
