Pakistan Super League:
However, today we are here to talk about how a cricketer is paid in PSL. As many compare the IPL to the PSL, it is essential to look at how the money is being distributed in a fair sense. See IPL on its own has taken place in the mind of the whole world which is very glamorous these days. So no doubt, it will be compared to other leagues.
We need some points to make the distinction though I am not making any distinction here today. Today I will tell you how Pakistan Super League prize money is distributed among all the players. At the same time, Pakistani fans have more emotions than playing PSL. So let’s check all the information without further delay.
Prize Money Distribution:
PCB did not have much sponsorship when PSL was established. Naturally, the amount of money the players received in early prize money was not very high. Although this whole situation reflects naturally to the fans. But the question arises when the prize money is not increased in PSL three times in a row.
Because during these three seasons, as is often known through the influence of the media, sponsorship in the PSL has increased from before. Although I would say that PSL Four is playing in a much better position than in previous seasons. But even so, we can’t say that much of a difference we’ve seen increases in player reward money.
But in 2022 the situation has changed. In fact, the total prize money till 2021 was 112 million PKR. Out of which PKR 80 million was awarded to the winners. And 35 million PKR was awarded to the second-place winners. But come 2022 the total prize money has gone from 112 million to 130 million PKR. Naturally, this is expected to increase the amount of money won.
Further, for the figures for 2022 and 2023 to remain the same, we have worked out that according to this formula, the prize money for the winners means PKR 90 million. Hope you understand that prize money is increasing gradually. Although I would like to point out that most of the work behind raising the money for this award is done by sponsorships.
