Nikhil Chaudhary’s BBL 2024 Salary: Over the years, the Big Bash League in Australia has uncovered many talented players. This season, they are providing an opportunity to an Indian player! Nikhil Chaudhary, a right-handed batsman and occasional leg spinner, made his debut in the BBL 2023-24 for the Hobart Hurricanes against the Perth Scorchers. He displayed improvements in his performance. Chaudhary, who relocated to Australia three years ago, participated in regional cricket in Queensland as a local player.
The 27-year-old all-rounder, who describes himself as a “hard-hitting finisher” and “very unorthodox” leg-spinner, gained fame in his first five games thanks to his explosive hitting style and wickets. At one point, Chaudhary’s primary goal would have been to compete in the Indian Premier League, since he was only the second men’s player of Indian origin to appear in the Big Bash after Unmukt Chand.

In his debut BBL game, Chaudhary, 27, looked good at the bat, scoring 40 runs off of 31 balls against the Perth Scorchers. In the next game, against the Melbourne Stars, he destroyed Haris Rauf, scoring 32 runs off of only 16 deliveries. In 16 T20 matches, Chaudhary has taken nine wickets overall while hitting 139. Additionally, he represented Punjab in two Vijay Hazare Trophy List A games.
Clubs have the option to select players from a variety of categories with predetermined pay ranges throughout the draft. We don’t have enough information about his salary in BBL 2024 but it is expected that he is earning well. Chaudhary is now participating in his first league season after being selected by the Hurricanes before the 2023–2024 season. But as per BBL officials, he may be earning more than Rs. 1 crore.

During his BBL debut, Nikhil Chaudhary was remarkable. When the Hobart Hurricanes played first against the Scorchers, he made 40 runs off of 31 deliveries. At the end of their 20 overs, the visitors had scored 172 runs thanks to Chaudhary’s significant contribution. With nine wickets remaining, the Scorchers were able to chase the score very easily. Chaudhary’s efforts were not in vain, even if they ultimately resulted in a loss. On December 09, 2023, Nikhil Chaudhary was given his first BBL cap for the Hobart Hurricanes.
The player of Indian descent became just the second person to appear in the BBL, following fellow cricketer Unmukt Chand, who was also born in Delhi. Chaudhary was born in Delhi but moved to Ludhiana when he was two years old. His coach, Charanjit Banghu, recognized his all-round skills and trained him. Former Australian cricketer James Hopes also recognized Chaudhary’s potential and recommended him to the Hobart Hurricanes.
