The Indian Women’s Premier League is new and about to make its own history. The League is starting from 4th March 2023 and plays until 26th March 2023. The newest team name of this new event is Up Warriors. Check here UP Warriorz 2023 Squad for Women Premier League and more.
Mumbai Indians, RCB, or Delhi Capitals all have male-dominated teams, i.e. these franchises are already popular. But warriors are brand new, there is no male lead team about it and it has played anywhere before.
Don’t think that these are the popular male-dominated groups. These teams are popular because they have already established themselves already playing. And from this perspective, warriors are putting themselves on the battlefield for the first time. But there is no point in thinking less of them because they are new. So we will see in today’s article how the Warriors have prepared for their battle.
However, you may be surprised to hear that a lot of companies have fought for this new team in the auction. But in the end, Capri Global Heading Pvt Ltd got ownership of this team. He further submitted an offer of Rs 757 crore to buy the team. Now it remains to be seen if this franchise can live up to its price tag.
Not only that Up Warriors has bought many famous players for their game. Similarly, Deepti Sharma who is one of the gems of the Indian team is in this team. And according to sources, she is likely to be the captain of this team. It will be interesting to see how Deepti manages this team and can take it forward.
