Since there are six teams in the CPL, six stadiums are used as home grounds for each team. Moreover, the tournament is played in six groups consisting of a group stage and a knockout stage. Similarly, each team will play a total of ten matches out of which three will be played at their home ground.
Meanwhile, an unusual arrangement occurs within each group. Essentially all six teams of the tourney are located at a single playing site for five consecutive matches. The tournament later moved to a new venue for five more games. Naturally, like other tournaments, the play-off stage consists of two semi-finals and a final to decide the winner.
