Another important and popular team in the Caribbean Premier League is the Barbados Royals. Although the team was earlier known as the Barbados Tridents. In 2013, this group was formed with the formation of CPL. Not only this, this team has importance in CPL like other teams. However, I am told that Hollywood actor Mark Wahlberg has been interested in the team’s equity since 2013. Not only that, the chairman of this group, Ajmal Khan, is a very good friend of Mark.

Due to a very poor performance that year, they went straight out of the tournament. The local fans in Barbados had great faith in the Barbados team and the devotion that they could do anything.
