Musheer Khan, an 18-year-old cricketer, scored his first-ever hundred in a big match for Mumbai against Baroda in the Ranji Trophy quarter-final. This was a crucial moment for him and the team.

Usually known for his aggressive style, Musheer showed patience and focus, scoring his runs by running between the wickets rather than hitting boundaries. He batted at number three and was the standout performer for Mumbai when other well-known players like Prithvi Shaw and Ajinkya Rahane couldn’t make big scores.

In the match, he built partnerships with other players like Suryansh Shedge and Hardik Tamore, helping Mumbai recover from a tough situation. Despite Mumbai losing some key players due to injuries and national duty, Musheer stepped up and performed exceptionally well.

This was only Musheer’s fourth match at the first-class level, but he showed maturity beyond his years. He seemed to have overcome the disappointment of losing in the Under-19 World Cup final and grabbed this opportunity in the Ranji Trophy with both hands.
