India vs England: Final Test Before IPL Sets Stage for T20 World Cup; Rinku Singh Eyes Team Spot

India is preparing for the series’ last Test match at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala versus England. India’s final international match before the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 begins later this month is this one. The T20 World Cup, which takes place in the USA and the West Indies starting in the first week of June, will be the team’s next major event.

India’s Rinku Singh is a player who is almost certain to make the squad for the T20 World Cup. According to the Hindustan Times, this became more evident after he was invited to the Indian camp in Dharamsala for a unique World Cup picture session.

A photo of Rinku Singh with England head coach Brendon McCullum was also shared on Instagram. McCullum coached the Kolkata Knight Riders when Rinku joined them in 2018.

In a T20I series against Ireland in August of last year, Rinku made his debut for India. He has been an important member of the Indian team ever since, amassing 356 runs at a strong batting average and strike rate in 15 matches. In 7 out of 11 innings, he has ended without being out.

India’s opening match at the T20 World Cup 2024 is scheduled for June 5th in New York versus Ireland. After that, on June 9th in New York, they will play an important encounter against Pakistan. On June 12th and 15th, they will play games against the USA and Canada.
