MUMBAI: Yashasvi Jaiswal, the rising star of Indian cricket, has made a significant investment by purchasing an apartment in X BKC for Rs 5.4 crore. The registration documents, obtained by Liases Foras, reveal that the flat, spanning 1,100 square feet in wing 3 of the Bandra (East) building, was officially registered on Jan 7. This means it costs Rs 48,499 for every square foot of space.

Yashasvi’s journey to success is an inspiring tale. Hailing from Mumbai, he faced humble beginnings, having lived in a tent at Azad Maidan during his childhood. This was a time when his parents had returned to their village in UP’s Badohi, while he stayed behind to pursue his cricketing dreams. Remarkably, he even lent a helping hand to a local hawker selling pani puri at Azad Maidan.

His recent achievements have been nothing short of spectacular. Just last Sunday, the talented left-handed opener stunned audiences with a double century, smashing a record-breaking 12 sixes during India’s resounding 434-run victory over England in the third Test at Rajkot. Prior to this, Jaiswal had showcased his prowess on the global stage by dominating the U-19 World Cup in 2020. His exceptional performance caught the attention of IPL scouts, resulting in a lucrative bid of Rs 2.4 crore from the Rajasthan Royals, where he went on to amass an impressive 625 runs.
