Because this year his debut in international cricket is again against Pakistan. And unfortunately, his debut performance was abysmal. As a result, he does not get a chance to play any match for the Indian team for the next 20 months. Although he used this whole time to hone himself and make a sharper sword on the table. And so when he got a second chance in 2000, he didn’t waste it and took India to victory by three wickets.

In fact, while preparing for the game, Sehwag picked up a slight strain in a muscle in his right calf. And this entire incident took place in the Asia Cup final against Sri Lanka. I hope you understand that Virendra is out of this match because of his injury.
