Pakistan is one of the six teams participating in the Asia Cup 2023, a prestigious cricket tournament that will be co-hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka from August 30 to September 17. The game will feature 50-over matches, with each team playing two group matches and four Super 4 matches. The final will be held in Colombo on September 17. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the central contracts for the 2022-23 season, including the players’ salaries and match fees. The PCB has also introduced some changes in the contract structure, such as a hybrid model of hosting, a captaincy allowance, and a performance-based incentive system. Additionally, in the current cycle, contracts are announced in four distinct categories in five categories.

Category A:

In the current contract cycle, the PCB has introduced a category A, which is the top tier, and players in this category are entitled to a base salary of 1.25 million PKR. Additionally, players receive 25,000 PKR for ODIs, 50,000 PKR for Test Matches, and 15,000 PKR for T20Is.
